About Red Dragon Chinese Restaurant

Located at 2513 Fairview Rd, Raleigh, NC 27608, Red Dragon Chinese Restaurant operates as a chinese restaurant serving Raleigh in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under delivery chinese restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Raleigh; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in North Carolina are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 am–9:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (919) 782-1102. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, raleighreddragon.com.

With 4.2 out of 5 on Google from 712 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for chinese restaurants in Raleigh. Recent reviews are the best guide.

Raleigh is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Raleigh follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Had gotten delivery from here before but last night was our first time in person. 10/10!! Service, food .. all of it! Best General Tso's chicken I've eaten. Chicken, vegetables top notch and fresh! Can't say more. Staff friendly, welcoming, responsive. Will definitely make the trip again!

I was in Raleigh for one night and decided to give this place a try and it was great. I really enjoyed the wonton soup. The service was amazing and the staff was friendly.

Holy cow. When I spent $20 per item on Chinese take out I was expecting something a cut above the normal $8-10 cookie cutter Chinese places all over the country. What we got was absolutely the worst Chinese takeout I’ve had in my 30 odd years of life. I’m glad we got dumplings as an app (which were more β€œwaterlogged” and falling apart than β€œfried”) because the two entrees were inedible. I got curry chicken and it was breaded gristle meat that was somehow worse than the same type of chicken that would be in sesame chicken. My fiancΓ©s dish got the worst of it, behold Honey Walnut Snap Peas (supposed to be a shrimp dish):

We’ve been doing take out from red dragons for years. Food is usually reliably good. Last night I ordered a β€œvegetable β€œ Meifun with tofu. It was so sad and disappointing. Vegetables consisted of those cheap small yellow corn, carrots, snow peas and what looked like boiled mushrooms. Definitely not enough tofu, and boiled rice noodle. Nothing was pan fried, no sauce or spices, it was the most blend vegetarian Meifun I’ve ever had. Not sure if they changed chef, or what happened but it just wasn’t good or exciting. I honestly could have done that myself.

I recently visited The Red Dragon in Raleigh and had a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was welcoming and the service was friendly from start to finish. The sweet and sour chicken was absolutely delicious β€” perfectly crispy with just the right balance of tangy and sweet. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and flavorful. If you’re looking for great Chinese food in Raleigh, I definitely recommend giving The Red Dragon a try!
